Round II of Chemo Complete

This round of chemo has so far gone much, much more easily for Kara. The doctor has adjusted her antiemitic medicine to better control the nausea that accompanies the chemotherapy, and she hasn't felt nearly as yucky. They were able to get the IV started easily and her veins are doing well. As of this afternoon, she is feeling pretty good. They have completed giving her the last chemo drug she has to have this round of treatment. The plan is for her to return home tomorrow morning. She thinks she'll be able to accompany the family to church on Easter.

(I've run out of current photographs to post, so I thought I'd put one of my favorite "classic" shots of Emma and Kara, taken around July 4th, 2004. I hope you enjoy it!).

Praises:
- Thank you God for seeing Kara through this round of chemotherapy much more comfortably.

- Thank you God for seeing Kara through the completion of her radiation therapy.

- Thank you God for the support of all of Kara's friends, family, and her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that the treatment eradicates the cancer from her body, permanently.

Thank you so very much.

Hi Kara and Family!

PRAISE THE LORD! This is a Blessing! I am THANKFUL to Our Lord He has given you His gifted doctors; staff.

Thank you for being such a warrior for me; God's gift. As I look at the beautiful pictures of you; Emma, and Luke coloring Easter Eggs I am amazed. This reminds me of Joel Osteen as he tells of when his Mom in 1981 was diagnosed with Liver Cancer; given 3 weeks to live. Joel said his Mom came home from the doctor after receiving this news; he said she never complained, went straight to the kitchen started cooking, cleaning -doing what she had always done. Each day she went to her Church to pray with members. This is 2005 and she is still doing the same routine!! On Lakewood's Website they list the Bible verses she professed each day. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him. Psalms 2:12

Great Granny Scoggin would love how colorful you are in the pictures. So pretty.

Blessings! Dee

Thank You Lord for the completion of another round of Chemo, and thank you for giving doctors knowledge to find a better anti nausea medication. You will be the most beautiful Easter hunny bunny. We are so looking forward to seeing you next weekend. Please, Lord, let this chemo attack all that is harmful to Kara.
Love and prayers, Gamma and Gampa
