In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Your quilt is beautiful! I can hardly see through my Hallmark Card tears as I type. It is such an outpouring of love. Please know that you are in so many people's prayers. I pray that you will feel His presence today as He works to bring you the gift of good health.
Love, Gamma & Gampa
Hi Kara, It is very good to see the pictures of you smiling and enjoying your children. Thank you for the list of specifics to pray for you, I will be praying for you this week. Holly Wampler
