Radiation Today

Kara will begin the whole-brain radiation today. She will have ten treatments in total. Dr. Lynch would like to keep her in the hospital for another night, and release her after he sees how she has tolerated the first two radiation treatments.

Dr. Lynch will start Kara on a new chemotherapy drug on Monday.

Kara has more cancer in her now than at any other time previously. Please pray that this chemotherapy can be the miracle that we have been asking for.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that the radiation treatments are successful.
- Please pray that Kara's vertigo, nausea, and stroke effects continue to subside.
- Please pray for comfort and peace for Kara.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you.

This is one of my favorite passages:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
I am praying for you, your family and the doctors.

Dear Kara, Please know that very special prayers and thoughts for wonderful blessings of healing and peace are with you today as you get the radiation treatments. Thank goodness for Dr. Lynch and his team's management and plans to eradicate the tumors and to reverse the stroke effects. Hopefully you've had time for rest and regaining your strength these past few days and are looking forward to being home soon. How very dear and precious you are to each of us and how we pray that our Lord will work a great miracle through you in these next few weeks. He continues to be all powerful and all healing and holds you in the palm of His hand caring for you as no one else can possibly hope to do. We pray believing and trusting in His way never more than now at this critical time for our dear dear Kara. Much love, Aunt Betsy

Kara,

Please know that we are praying for you, your doctors and their teams who are working to help you. We also are praying for your entire family (Matt & Kids, Uncle John & Aunt Carol, Jean, John & Carrie) to find strength and comfort from God. We pray that this new chemotherapy and radiation treatment will remove all the cancer from your body.

I can’t remotely imagine how frustrating it is to have to keep going through this and how it must make you feel. However, please know that God is always with you.

Deuteronomy 31:6
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Haggai 1:13
13 Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: "I am with you," declares the LORD.

Matthew 18:20
20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Romans 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Love,
Thomas, Carol & the kids

Kara,
This is Jenny's SIL Tracy (up in WI)-Diane and Jenny have been keeping us updated. It was exciting to see that you are home now. Yay! I just wanted to encourage you to keep strong in this fight. I pray that you know that the words of Jeremiah 29:11-13 are true-that God has good plans for your life, plans for good and not evil. Our family continues to pray for you and a total recovery!
Blessings to you and your family,
