In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

We are glad to hear Kara will be home this weekend and hope you all have good birthday celebrations for Matt and John Jr.
We continue to walk by faith as we trust Kara in the Lord's hands.
Our Lord Jesus is the one who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. To God be the glory.

You and your entire family have been continuously on our minds as you've been going through this latest challenge. We are so pleased that you are home and surrounded by those you love. Wish we could give you a big hug in person. You're in our prayers.
