PET Scan This Week

Kara met with Dr. Lynch today. The MRI revealed that the old tumor in the cerebellum part of her brain is 3 mm larger than on the past scan. Dr. Lynch believes that tumor may be growing again. That may be causing her symptoms of the vertigo,as the cerebellum controls balance. There appears to be swelling around the other old tumor sites, but Dr. Lynch is not certain if the tumors are active, growing, or if it is just swelling.

They will perform a PET Scan hopefully later in the week, and Kara will also meet with Dr. Tay, the Novalis doctor, soon as well.

“And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love Him,
who have been called according to His purpose.”
- Romans 8:28

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that everything that needs to be arranged can be done quickly, and peace and comfort for Kara while she is waiting.
- Please pray for good PET Scan results, and an encouraging meeting with Dr. Tay.
- Please pray that Kara's vertigo problems are resolved quickly.
- Please pray that the cancer is eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you. Your continued prayers for Kara are much appreciated, as she finds strength and encouragement in knowing that she is in the thoughts of so many.

Dear Kara,

I hope that your PET scan has good results and that they can take care of the growing tumor in your brain soon. We are praying for you--for strength, stamina, encouragment, and comfort.

Dear Kara, HOw good to hear Dr. Lynch's ideas re. the vertigo and what can be done about it and how wonderful to know that there are no new tumors upstairs. He'll find a way to deal with this no doubt, as he has been able to do with the previous problems associated with the tumors-via our Lord's help and guidance. Our prayers continue for your complete healing and freedom from all negative symptoms from the condition and from the treatments. You are so dear and so good to follow his program and to do your part, Kara, and it is truly an inspiration to all of us. Please remember how much you and Matt, Emma and Luke mean to us all and how greatly you are thought of and prayed for day and night for continued strength and faith as you follow His plan for you. Much love, Aunt Betsy

Hey girl! Just checking in on some of my favorite people! You're gonna have to go blonde if you stay dizzy :). Bad joke I know, but I can say it since I'm already a dizzy blonde.
It's been really hot up here. Heat index of 108 and the real temp today is supposed to reach 104. Had to soak my barrel horses front feet in ice water due to sore tendons and ended up leaving him standing in the buckets because he didn't want to get out. He's kind of a character anyway....
I miss you bunches and think of you often. You're all in my prayers.
Love,
Jana

Kara,
You and I have never met but I followed your blog when I found out about it through the Bellaire Young Mother's Group. Your courage and love for your family have inspired me in my life and I wanted you to know that you are in the hearts and prayers of those you have not even met!

A friend

Kara, you've had setbacks before and come through them, and I just know that you'll find the strength to overcome this one, too! So sorry to hear you're having trouble again, though.

Kara, we are praying for your strength as they find the right treatments to work on these changes. Stay strong, keep the faith.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

I heard of the SOLID TRUST you have IN JESUS;
Your outpouring of Love to All
Christians!
I couldn't stop thanking God for you!
Every time I prayed, I'd think of you; give thanks.
I do more than thank, I ask --
Ask The God to make you intelligent; discerning in knowing
Him personally, your eyes focused;
clear; so you can see EXACTLY what it is He is calling you to do.
Grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for Christians.
Oh, the utter extravagance of His
Work in us who trust Him --
Endless energy, boundless strength!

All this energy issues from Christ:
God raised Him from death;
set Him on a throne in deep Heaven,
In charge of running the universe,
everything from galaxies to governments.
No Name;No Power exempt from His rule.
Not just for the time being, BUT
FOREVER!
He is in charge of it all;
JESUS has THE FINAL WORD
ON EVERYTHING.
The church is not peripheral to the world, the world is peripheral to the church.
The church is Christ's Body, in which He speaks; acts, by which He fills everything with His Presence.
Ephesians 1:15-23 The Message

The eyes of The Lord
are on the righteous;
His ears are attentive
to their cry.
Psalm 34:15
