At the Farm

Kara and John arrived at the farm yesterday. Kara plans on taking Emma and Luke to the St. Clare Monastery miniature horse farm in Brenham. The monastery is home to a group of nuns who support themselves by raising miniature horses. Emma and Luke both love the cows that run on the farm, and feed them "cow cookies" every morning and usually in the evening as well. The cows eat right out of Emma's hand! Emma and Luke have also discovered Aunt Jean's old My Little Ponies, which are apparently back in popularity as toys, so I'm sure they'll love the horses.

Matt plans on joining the family at the farm on the weekend.

Praises:
- Thank you God that Kara can enjoy this time with her children before beginning chemo again.
- Thank you God that the brain tumor had not grown, and that there were no new ones detected.
- Thank you God for Kara's doing so well with her treatment, better than anyone could have expected. Thank you for the reassurance and comfort that gives Kara, and all of us.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that the Novalis treatment be successful.
- Pleae pray that the cancer is eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you.

Little did you know that when your mom was saving all you toys that God had a plan for them. Don't forget the ice cream factory when you go to see the horses. Have some chocolate for me. Thank You Lord for bringing Kara safely back to Em and Luke so that she can enjoy watching Em feed the "yucky" tongued cows.
Love, Gamma and Gampa

Dear Kara, What a wonderful time in the country at the farm! I can just see little Emma and Luke feeding the cows and enjoying the miniature horses; they love animals just like their mom always has and are learning how unique each one is already. It must have been hard for all of you to leave and yet how eager the anticipation will be to get back soon. I'm hoping that you reallly rested, Kara, and that you'll be ready for whatever needs to happen this week in Houston or that you'll get to have a few more wonderful days in the country with the family. You are all so special to me and I'm so grateful for each of you. Much love, Aunt Betsy

Hi Kara,

We are so very grateful that your Novalis treatment went well after the hurricane and also that your house was not damaged.
We trust you and Matt and the kids have had a restful weekend at the farm and we will keep you in our prayers as you have the chemo on Thursday.
We love you,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Kara, We will be working hard at a Mesquite Association show in the hill country this weekend. Lots of interesting things there but it sounds like you are having an even more interesting time with the little horses and the children. Wow, what an fascinating thing to see and participate with Emma and Luke. These are wonderful times. We are praying for you. Love, Gem

Dea Kara, Hopefully Rnd. 7 is now finished and doing its job to keep the tumors at bay! Hopefully you're resting and feeling better than the previous times somehow and will soon be able to go home to your little ones to get back into the swing of birthday and holiday planning. You've been in my thoughts and prayers all day and will continue to be all wk-end especially as you recuperate from the treatment once more knowing that it's part of the entire plan to restore you to full health. Our Lord has wonderful plans for you and truly is working in mysterious ways to prove His love and healing powers in your body and in your so special life. You are so precious to all of us, and please know how greatly you are cared for and supported. Much love, Aunt Betsy
