Chemo Starts Thursday

Kara, Matt, and the children are back in Houston after their time at the farm. Emma and Luke both had a great time in the great outdoors, playing with the cows, swinging, learning about the stars from Uncle John, and splashing in the pool. Kara got a lot of work done on Emma's birthday party plans and the children's Halloween costumes. Emma and Luke are going to be a cowgirl and cowboy!

Kara will begin her seventh round of chemotherapy on Thursday. She met with a physical/occupational therapist earlier in the week, and hopefully they can give her exercises to improve her neuropathy.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that this next round of chemotherapy be completed without any complications.
- Please pray that the side efffects from the chemotherapy will be minimal.
- Pleae pray that the cancer is eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you for your words of encouragement and love for Kara -- one of the highlights of her day is reading the kind words people send to her, both here on the blog and through the mail. It means a great deal to Kara to know she is in the thoughts and prayers of so many people.

Kara,

I pray you will continue to know God's love through the caring of the doctors and other caregivers. I also pray God will heal you completely and totally! You are a shining example of His love and the faithfulness of His people! I am blessed to be a part of your church family.

Aloha! The Hawaiian cowboys are called Paniolos, and they look just like the Texas cowboys except some wear aloha shirts. We pray that Thursday's chemo goes well, your recovery time goes fast, and that the PT will have wisdom and guidence in helping you. You continue to be an inspiration to us all. Wish we could be there for the big four birthday and Halloween.
Love, Gamma and Gampa

One day my beautiful little baby girl, Jennifer, was throwing a screaming, kicking, crying fit in her bed. I was standing at the foot of her bed, right over her, watching every move she made. All she had to do was look up to see me. I would gladly have scooped her up in my arms; kissed her to pieces! This reminded me of how many times I had done this same thing with Jesus over something I wanted now! All He wanted was to hold me in His arms, kiss me, tell me how much He loves me.
Kara, may you feel His arms around you today, His kisses; hear Him telling you "I Love You My Precious Child Kara."
Greater love has no man than this,
He laid down His life for us.
John 15:13

Hey Girl!
Thinking of you today! Constantly;continually lifting you to our Jesus for your renewed, restored health in Jesus name from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet!
Today I was watching Alternative Health on Daystar with Valerie Saxion, N.D. She says Vitamin C is a MUST for cancer patients! Check it out at www.valeriesaxionministries.com
When she has a cold, she takes 1,000 mg of Vit. C an hour! Really helps with fatigue; essential for every part of the body.

Now the Lord said,
Who created you - Who formed you, FEAR NOT!
I, Jesus, have redeemed you,
I have called you by name,
Kara, you are mine forever.
Isaiah 43:1

Dear Kara, You have been in my thoughts and prayers continuously this week and especially today as you undergo your 7th round of chemo! You are so very special in so many ways -so valiant and trusting and so full of faith and what an inspiration you are to us all and no doubt to your medical team as they unleash all the powers available to them thru Our Great Healer's guidance and specific direction to each for your total healing and complete cure. Please know that you are loved and cared for each and every moment of your treatments and how we hope for your continuing return to full health and full energy. Your wonderful witness and testimony to our Lord's all-knowing and all-powerful plans give us such awe and ongoing gratitude for His magnificent works. Please rest and let the treatments help the healing. I'm so glad your Aunt Lois is there with you, and am thankful to Jean and John for their fantastic regular updates, not to mention to your mom and dad for their ongoing care of Luke and Emma. Hope you'll soon be home where I know you'll continue to be surrounded by this wonderful circle of loving care. Much love, Aunt Betsy

Dear Kara,

We hope that you had a wonderful weekend with the kids (and the mini-horses---how cute!), so that you can be strengthened and encouraged for this round of chemo. Your attitude has been such a testimony to me and to everyone else--your faith in God and your victorious spirit are such a blessing, a steady foundation.

We love you and look forward to talking with you soon,
Gina and Curby

Kara, I wanted you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you 24/7. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing - we are praying for you; your complete healing, restoration. "With His Stripes" You are healed paid for by Our Wonderful Savior - JESUS. Your Mom said you are getting the rough chemo today. I wanted to let you know we are there with you in Spirit and Prayers, but more importantly - JESUS IS THERE WITH YOU ALWAYS!
Lo, I AM with you always -
even to the end of the world!
Matthew 28:20
Now Glory be to God who by His mighty Power at work in you is able to do more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of --
infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.
Ephesians 3:20

Kara,
I remember your smile and welcoming presence in baby talk. I had no idea about your battle, but I know that the Lord is with you and that brings me alot of comfort. I know this is a tough time for you and your family, but you can still see the Lord moving on your behalf. Thank God for His mercy and presence. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time forward.
In the Lord we trust.
