Update

Just a quick update to let you know that Kara has a series of doctor's appointments this week. I believe she meets with her neurosurgeon tomorrow, and hopefully can proceed with getting the pinpoint radiation scheduled this week, and then start chemo on Monday. Today she will meet with her gynecological oncologist for a post-op checkup.

Kara had a good weekend with her family; I'll post more tonight.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for peace and comfort for Kara during this time.
- Please pray that Kara is able to receive the pinpoint radiation on her brain this week, and start the chemo soon.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you.

Kara, glad you had a quiet weekend with your family. We will pray for you during this week of testing and hope for the best outcome possible. I went to the Women of Faith conference this weekend in Philadelphia and it was so inspirational. One of the key points that was made throughout the weekend is to remember that "God is In Control". Another speaker told us not to rush through the valleys of our life for that's what makes the good times so much sweeter. The valleys teach us so much about life. It's hard to appreciate a valley when you are going through it though. We will pray for a good week for you. Remember God Is In Control of your situation and he will always be with you.

In Luke 18 Jesus told His disciples a story to illustrate their need for CONSTANT PRAYER and to show them that they MUST KEEP PRAYING until the answer comes.
"There was a city judge, Jesus said, a very godless man who had great disrespect for everyone. A widow of that city came to the judge often to appeal for help against a man who had harmed her. The judge ignored her. She kept coming till she got on his nerves!
I fear neither God nor man, the judge said, yet this woman torments me! I will see to it she gets her justice - for she is wearing me out with her CONSTANT presence!"
Jesus said, "If an evil judge can be worn down - don't you know that Your God will give help to His people WHO PLEAD WITH HIM DAY AND NIGHT! Yes! He will answer them quickly!
So the question is:
"When I, the Messiah, return --
How many will I find who have faith and are praying?"
Jesus just as the widow - who you love so much - would not stop,
WE WILL NOT STOP coming into Your Holy presence until Your Will is done in Kara's life. We are THE FAITHFUL! WE WILL BE FOUND PRAYING WHEN YOU, JESUS - THE MESSIAH, RETURN.

Kara, We are so happy that you had a pleasant weekend. We think of you often each day and pray for your strength and faithful determination to your healthful restoration.
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High;
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night..." Psalm 92, verses 1-2.
You are an inspiration to us all. Love and Hugs, Gem
