In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Does that Emma know how to relax or what? What a doll.
Kara, our prayers continue and we are so proud of how you have faced this mountain and are conquering it. We pray for your strength to continue and for your surgery to go well and healing to continue. I hope this verse gives you some comfort. "...I will guide them; I will turn the darkenss into light before them...and make the rough places smooth..." Isaiah 42:16
Remember to put your life in his hands. He knows his plan for your life and complete trust in him will bring you peace. We love you.
Kara, We continue to pray for you as you face each day with courage. We pray that your surgery will go well and that you will have complete healing. God knows your heart and will continue to be with you all the way. Love, Curt and Linda
Ahhhhh, her favorite face. I think I have a hundred pictures with that face. Kara, our prayers for today are that your PT scan shows NOTHING! Love and prayers, Gamma and Gampa
