Doctor's Check-Up

Kara's check-up with Dr. Kaplan went very well. The biopsies on all the tissue removed showed the cancer was not anywhere other than the primary site, which is very encouraging news. She will probably begin her next rounds of chemotherapy mid-September.

Kara continues to recuperate, and tries to walk a bit when she can, in order to get stronger faster. She's working ahead on plans for Halloween and Emma's birthday party, and in general, is much more comfortable than after her last few rounds of chemo.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for a swift and complication-free recovery from surgery for Kara.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you.

Dear Kara, How wonderful to be making plans for birthdays and holidays! We continue to know how you are being restored to good health and are so grateful to our Lord Jesus and your medical and family\friends team involved in your ongoing care and healing cure. Please rest this week-end and have fun with the children and remember how very special and beloved you are to us and what a marvelous example of God's love and power we are seeing through you each and every day! Much love, Aunt Betsy

Kara -- This is Jane Cage from First Presbyterian in Joplin. I just want you to know that you are on the list of our prayer group and we pray for you each Sunday night along with many other church family members. Sally Scruggs Buller gave me the link and it will be a good way to keep up with how you are progressing. I promise that we will continue to lift you and your family up each week in prayer.
