Prayers Needed

Kara is still unable to keep any food down, and is going in tomorrow to get IV fluids. This latest reaction to the chemotherapy has her downhearted and discouraged, and she is in great need of your prayers to lift her up again.

Prayer Requests
- Please pray for the swift reduction in Kara's nausea and other side effects, and a restoration to strength.
- Please pray that she feels God's presence with her, that she may feel His peace.
- Please pray that the treatment is successful in eradicating the cancer, permanently.

Thank you.

Hi Kara!

Here is an article from a man who was healed from cancer:

That night I spent time with the Lord seeking His face and examining my life. I was not holding any unforgiveness in my heart as I scheduled time with the elders of the church. Indeed, my life was free to receive the gift of God's healing in accordance with the will of God for my life. When the Sunday service came, my family and I went to the front of the church where the elders and the pastor greeted us. I was asked to kneel as they prayed diligently over me, anointing me with oil and rebuking the cancer that had invaded my body. As a temple of the Lord, I was dedicated to serving Him and I rededicated myself to that purpose during that sweet time of prayer. My attitude was "Lord, I want to be healed, and I petition You for my healing, however, I will serve You regardless of the outcome.

His Prayer for You:

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I petition You, the Creator of the Universe and the Great Physician, to hear my prayer for personal healing. I believe that You want me to regain my health and strength, and I request that You touch me with Your grace and power, forgiving me of any sin, removing all obstacles from my life which could prevent my healing. I forgive any who I have held something against. Now, I take suthority by Your Name over my sickness and rebuke it. I speak to my illness and command it's departure in the Name of Jesus Christ. Lord, I also recommit my life to Your service and I will glorify Your Name as a part of my testimony. Thank You for hearing my prayer. Amen

He states:

2 weeks later I went back to my doctor to be reexamined. To his surprise, (and mine!) there was no trace of the caner he had originally diagnosed me with! My God had healed me of the cancer. Trust Him for your healing today!

Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid; for the Lord thy God, He it is who does go with you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Continually lifting you to our Lord!

Hang in there. This is one of those rough times you knew you'd encounter. You'll get through it.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

We pray that the doctors will be able to rehydrate you, and that you will feel all the comfort God has to offer you at this time and feel the prayers coming your way. We love you, Gamma and Gampa

Dear Kara--when I read these new posts, I went to what I call my "holy ziplock"--a baggie where I keep index cards with scriptures that God has used to encourage me. I wanted to share some of them. (Maybe someone can copy these down for you and put them up where you can see them?) I pray for your strength in the Lord.

Psalm 46:2-3
We shall not be afraid though
>the earth be in turmoil
>the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea
>and its waters seethe and roar
>and the mountains totter as it heaves.
The Lord God Almighty is with us.

Psalm 31:14-15
My trust is in you, Lord;
I say, "You are my God,"
every moment of my life is in your hands.

Psalm 94:18-19
I need only say, "I am slipping," for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;
however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is near to the broken-hearted,
He helps those whose spirit is crushed.

Psalm 57:1
Have mercy on me, O God,
have mercy on me,
for in you my soul takes refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
[He is the Warrior-Savior!]
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

I pray that even right now you can hear Him singing over you and that His love will quiet you--His beloved child.
With love in Christ--SandyBingham

Kara, By now I know you must feel better. Those IV fluids will surely help. A little steak and potatoes via the IV route will make you feel chipper again.

Kara, you are in our hearts and minds each moment. We pray for your recovery from all these challenges.
Feel our hugs and whispers of, "you rest and feel better while we continueto pray." Love, Gem

Happy Mother's Day, Kara! How lucky your children are to have such a strong, positive, beautiful mother! May you have the strength to enjoy this day and reflect on the good job you have done with Emma and Luke. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily and I wish with all my heart that your tough treatment is 100% successful and gets rid of the cancer permanently. Your faith and attitude are an inspiration. Stay strong, Kara, and please let me know if I can help in any way. (It was great running in to you at SLC - you look fantastic!) Sincerely, Traci Vogiatzis
