Chemo Begins Again

Kara went in this morning for her third round of chemotherapy, and should be home again on Thursday. She enjoyed her weekend, being out of the hubbub of Houston and around the calm and quiet of the country. We'll add some photos to the blog soon.

She is mindful that the treatment is working, and that will help her through this latest round of chemo. Unfortunately the veins in one of her arms can no longer be used for IV medications, so please pray the veins in her other arm hold out.

Praise
Thank you God that the treatment is working!

Prayer Requests
- Please pray for comfort and health for Kara during this round of chemotherapy. She has been very fortunate not to have any infections or more widespread vein problems, and we pray that continues.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you so very much for your prayers.

Kara, What delightful news - you were able to spend the weekend with family and friends in the country! My family and I love the little bit of country we have. Just being off of the beaten path sometimes brings a inner calmness.
We are so grateful that the news is so wonderfully good ... those treatments are making the difference.
However, we all know what is making the real difference!
We all love you and pray for you often. We think of your family and pray for them. We pray for your doctors, treatment teams and nursing personnel.
My son and his family are so grateful to have this blog site. They are part of your New Braunfels prayer team as well as those who they have recruited for you.
Mom and her Sunday School department have you on top of their list. They pray all week also - not just during the Sunday service.

You are a marvelous young lady and we are all your fans! Please keep up your brave, determined attitude.
My love and prayers, Gem

Dear Kara,
Hopefully you had a marvelous relaxing and celebratory week-end at the farm with the family and good friends! Just being able to see Emma and Luke run around outdoorsand have fun playing and interacting with their adoring adult fans must have been as positive and therapeutic as any medicine could possibly hope to be. It must be so hard to go back to the hospital today, but knowing how beautifully the treatments are working and how much damage they're doing is so encouraging. Please know in your heart how much we're all praying every moment of every day and in your mind how much faith we have in our almighty and loving Jesus to heal completely through your strong and trusting body and soul and through your wonderfully skilled and directed medical team.
Thank you so much , Jean for the ongoing news reports which we all eagerly await each day , and thank you, Carol and John, Jean and John, Jr. for staying healthy and well to take such superb care of our Kara and her precious little ones. You are all so special to me, and I thank our Lord every day for your lives and witness and incredible Christian faith which give all of us such hope and joy and trust more than you can possibly know. Round III starting soon and soon to be behind you, dear brave Kara! Much love, Aunt Betsy

Many prayers and positive thoughts are headed your way from the hills of Austin. We are thankful for the beautiful Tx spring weekend you were able to share with your loving family in the country. Hope it was invigorating and helped you gather strength to return to your "work" of rx. Know that took courage, Kara. We all love you here and pray for healing. Thanks, Jean, for the updates. Love to all, Jan and Fred
