No news yet on the test results, and we don't expect any until after the weekend, most likely. Kara was at the hospital for most of the day yesterday, until about 9pm. Despite being tired out from running around so much these past few days (and having to fast for one of the tests), Kara is feeling better than she was last weekend, and looks forward to celebrating John's graduation with the family. Today is Emma's last Tumble Bears class, and Kara was going to try to make it to that, come home and rest, and then go to a family graduation dinner for John and his girlfriend, Carrie.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for positive test results.
- Please pray that Kara feels God's presence and peace during this difficult period.
- Please pray that the treatment eradicates the cancer from Kara's body, permanently.
Thank you very much. With two more rounds of chemo ahead, good news would be very welcome.
In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Dear Kara, What perfectly marvelous news to know that the tumors are gone and no new ones have appeared! Our miracle that we're praying for continuously is happening in such wonderful ways to our very special girl ! It's not a surprise at all of course, as we pray believing and how grateful we are for God's goodness and blessings and the strength He gives you each day to work with your physicians amd nurses in the treatments. How dear you are to us and how happy I am to hear that you even felt like joining the family for the graduation dinner!
