Surgery Update

Kara met with the surgeon her oncologist recommended today, and he thinks it best to remove the tumor and part of her liver surgically rather than use the radiofrequency ablation procedure. So for now, her chemotherapy will continue as scheduled, with her fifth round starting on Monday, and her sixth round three weeks after that. Then after she has gotten some strength back, she will go in for the liver surgery. That will be a major operation.

Blessings Kara!
The other night I heard Jaci Velasquez sing "LAY IT DOWN" from her CD "BEAUTY HAS GRACE". I wrote down the words:
I've been looking to my eyes are tired of looking
Listening to my ears are numb from listening
Praying to my knees are sore from kneeling on the bedroom floor
I know that you know that my heart is aching
I'm running out of tears and my will is breaking
I don't think that I can carry the burden of it anymore
All of my hopes and my dreams and my best laid plans
Are slowly slipping through my folded hands
So I'm gonna lay it down
I'm gonna learn to trust you now
What else can I do?
Everything I am depends on You!
And if the sun don't come back up
You know Your Love would be enough!
I'm gonna let it go
I'm gonna let it be
I'm gonna lay it down!
I've been walking through this world like I'm barely living
Buried in the down of this hole I've been digging
But You're pulling me out!
I'm finally breathing in the open air!
Oh, this room may be dark, but I'm finally seeing
There's a new ray of hope and now I'm believing that the past is past and the future's beginning to look brighter now!
Oh, cause all of my hopes and my dreams and my best laid plans
Are safe and secure when I place them in Your hands!
So I'm gonna lay it down
I'm gonna learn to trust You now!
Oh, what more can I do?
Oh, everything I am depends on You!
And if the sun don't come back up
You know Your Love would be enough!
Oh, I've gotta let it go!
I've gotta let it be!
I've gotta lay it down!
I'm gonna lay it down!
Gonna lay it down.
I hope you get to hear Jaci sing this for it is such a beautiful; awesome song! Thinking of you; continual praying with all. Remembering Our Heavenly Father makes all the decisions on us which is influenced by our prayers as vividly portrayed throughout His Word.

DearKara, How good to know that you met with your surgeon today and have a plan of action ready after all the chemo! It'll be so wonderful to finish Rnd VI and to know that your entire medical team is anticipating going ahead with removing the tissue that needs to go. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers day and night and never more so than when you have your testing done these next 2 days; good news is what we want and hope to have and even better news than after your testing before. I'll never forget your marvelous phone call that PM and how wonderful you sounded. Your attitude and cooperative spirit and willingness to keep on keeping on no matter what are so very typical of you through the years and make you the very dear and special person that you are, you know. Take good care of you. Love, Aunt Betsy
