Update

Kara met with Dr. Kaplan, the gynecological oncologist, yesterday. He and Dr. Lynch, her main oncologist, wish to proceed with a hysterectomy, as it seems the cervix is the most likely primary site for her cancer. On Monday the results should be in on some biopsies he ordered. They will probably give Kara another couple of weeks to rest and regain her strength before performing the hysterectomy.

Praises:
- Thank you God for the success of Kara's treatment, and that that success has eased Kara's future treatment, making the liver surgery not necessary right now.
- Thank you God for the reassurance that you are hearing our prayers.
- Thank you God for a wonderful church family that has been unceasingly supportive.
- Thank you God for Kara's two children who motivate her to push herself to do the things she has to do to get well.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for increased strength and diminished side effects for Kara before her surgery.
- Please pray that that cancer is eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you so much for your prayers for Kara, and for your words of encouragement you send to her both here and with cards and notes. They really brighten her day, and reassure her that she is in the thoughts and prayers of many people.

Kara - We do pray that the cancer is eradicated from your body permanently. The scheduled surgery will be another successfuly step in your deletion of all possible sources of the cancer and A BIG STEP TOWARD YOUR COMPLETE RECOVERY.
Wow - what progress! We look forward to reading the blog spot and hearing the next exciting bulletin. Every day of you enjoying your delightful children is a day of rejoicing!
We are praying for you to gain the rest and restorative condition that will allow for the surgery to be the best possible procedure.
Love, Gem

Our prayers continue, of thanksgiving for such good reports and of petition for continued healing and renewed strength and faith.

Kara and Matt, you and your loved ones continue to inspire us and to deepen our own faith. We, like others who visit this blog site, aren't there to witness the everyday trials, struggles and ups and downs on the road to recovery. Thank you for sharing your needs and allowing us, thereby, to rejoice with you when you get such good news. This is what it means to be a part of God's forever family. Thank you, Lord.

Hi, Kara,
Just checking in and thrilled to see all the good news. My prayer is that you regain much strength before surgery. When it gets cooler, please let me know the weekends when you'll be in LaGrange. We'd love to come visit!
Love,
Kim Upchurch & family

We are so encouraged week by week to hear how you are doing - and for the gift of access to this blog as a way to keep current on your challenges and progress and to see the prayers requested. It is wonderful to see how much you are in the thoughts of family and friends - and people like us, who want to support you and your extended family here in Topeka.

Yesterday another friend reported his wife was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was able to share your blog example as a way to keep many updated and gain support while saving the energy needed for your own healing. He was able to set one up immediately and it is already providing a way for people to share their prayers and support.

Thank you for sharing your journey and for providing this opportunity to offer our prayers and support.

Hey Cuz!

Thought you would love this song - it is so beautiful!

POUR MY LOVE ON YOU by Dan Dean

I don't know how to say
exactly how I feel
I can't begin to tell You
what Your love has meant
I'm lost for words
Is there a way
to show the passion in my heart?
Can I express how truly great
I think You are
My dearest friend!
Lord this is my desire
To pour my love on You!
Like oil upon Your feet
Like wine for You to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on You!
If praise is like perfume
I lavish mine on You!
Till every drop is gone!
I pour my love on You!

Jesus, as sinners we humbly bow at Your feet. With our tears we wash your precious feet, we wipe them with our hair; we cease not to kiss them. We anoint them with ointment. Wherefore, You say unto us, "Their sins, which are many, are forgiven; for they loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. Thy faith has saved you, go in peace."
Luke 7:37,38,45,47,50

Lord, Thank You for your precious child Kara who has lifted us to a worship level we never thought possible. Her love, her courage has given us all wings to fly like eagles.

We put on the garment of praise!
We Thank You for the beauty for ashes!
The oil of JOY!
We dance before You as King David did.

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!!!!!
