Bone Marrow Biopsy

Kara is having a bone marrow biopsy performed today to try to determine why her white blood counts are still so low. It is most likely due to all of the chemotherapy she has received over the past year. But there is a slight possibility the biopsy could reveal cancer in her bone marrow. Kara is very apprehensive at this time, as she has not been able to resume her platinum-based treatment for such a long time.

Kara will receive another round of Herceptin today as well.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for good results from the bone marrow biopsy.
- Please pray for peace and comfort for Kara, Matt and their family as they await these results -- it should take about ten days.
- Please pray for increased bloodcounts for Kara, that she may resume her platinum chemo.
- Please pray for insurance approval of her Herceptin.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you very much. We are so thankful for the prayers and words of encouragement for Kara over the past year, and your steadfast concern for her helps us through the scarier times, knowing that there are so many praying for her cure.

A certain woman, who had an issue of blood 12 years; had suffered many things of many physicians. She had spent all she had and was no better, but grew worse. When she heard Jesus came into the crowd, she pressed forward; touching His garment. For she said, "If I may touch but His clothes, I will be well!" Straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
Jesus ask, "Who touched my clothes?"
The woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before Him.
Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has made you well! Go in peace; be well of your plague."
Jesus said, "Be not afraid, only believe."
Mark 5:25-34,36

Kara, on the 700 Club today with Gordon Robertson a healing prayer was offered up for you to Jesus. I claimed it for you in His Mighty Name. He Loves U so much.

Kara,
My heart is in prayer for you. Keep looking to the one and only. And when you can't pray or don't know what to pray sing his praises. What ever the future holds you are never out of hand or his love that is something to praise. You can rest in knowing that he wants only the best for you and only he knows what that is. Sing What a mighty God we serve.Don't let the evil one steal your joy. Say "I am in my saviors hands nothing is going to happen to me today that HE and I can not handle together. Look Up and hang on to his hand. I love you much. Cynthia Oberlin

Dear Kara, HOw I hope youand the family are enjoying a fun and memorable week-end in Houston or at the farm! I'm so glad the bone marrow biopsy is behind you and surely we'll have good news when the report comes in; waiting is never easy and how we pray that this wait will not be long. Thank goodness for your ongoing treatments with the H. and for your wonderful ability to tolerate it so well. Please remember how very special you and Matt, Emma and Luke are to me and to us all and know that your marvelous faith and keeping on keeping on kind of determination and resilience are such an inspiration to me. Take care of your dear dear self resting and gaining strength day by day for your total return to good health and full recovery. Love to all, Aunt Betsy

Hi Kara,
I have been holding fast to this verse for you:
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
We continue to trust you in the Lord's hands as He has the very best plans for you.
Love,
