Test Results

Kara had an MRI performed on her brain, and it showed two tiny tumors. They will most likely treat them with Novalis. Kara remains positive, and is trusting in God for total healing in his time.

Kara's bloodcounts are still tpo low to proceed with chemo. There is nothing they can do to boost her bloodcounts, other than wait. Hopefully they can get going on the Novalis in the interim.

Kara's insurance declined paying for one of the drugs recommended by the Arizona lab, and Matt and Kara are trying to get that decision reconsidered. If not, they will look into other options for paying for the drug.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for increased bloodcounts so Kara may resume chemotherapy, and that the insurance company will pay for the treatment that has been recommended.
- Please pray for Kara to remain hopeful and positive.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you.

Way to keep up the fight, Kara! And thank God for Novalis and the new drugs that won't take such a toll on your resistance. You are the most admirable person.

Dear Kara,

We stand with you in confidence, as we continue to pray for complete healing. We are grateful that Novalis has been so successful for you and will continue to be a success, eliminating the new tumors that have been spotted.

This is a very discouraging time, and mere words won't ease the pain or confusion. But please know that we continue to pray for restoration of your body, which is so weak right now. We are asking God to bring you fresh hope and renewal--physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

We join with you and countless other believers in asking that your blood counts would increase and that you would be able to continue with chemo, that the insurance company would reconsider the decision to pay for the recommended drugs and that the way would be made clear. We are so encouraged by your faith, Kara, and we stand with you through every obstacle that you may face.

We love you,
Gina and Curby

Dear Kara,

I want to share a short story with you. A friend of mine from school/work is pregnant right now. She had to have a small surgery done to hopefully help her go to term. The surgery involved only a few small stitches, but she told me that she was so scared to have it done. I have shared your fight against cancer with her and she is so amazed. She said that as scared as she was to have surgery, she took strength and courage from your story knowing that you have fought much harder battles than hers and are still standing strong.

I pray all the time that your counts will improve so that you can receive the next round and that one day all of the rounds will be behind you because you will be cancer free! I hope that you can continue to draw comfort from God and that He will give you peace.

God bless you, Kara!
Love,
Leslie

Beautifully said, Gina. And Kara, we are standing with you, joined as believers, asking and trusting in God for your total healing. I loved seeing the youth gathered around you on Sunday evening at the healing service at church. I pray for peace for you, as you get stronger and continue your treatment. love, Liz

We are praying for your strength to be renewed and for God's healing hand to be upon you during this time of treatment and waiting.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

Dear Kara,
It was a blessing to be with you at John and Carrie's wedding. We thank the Lord for the wonderful testimony you are. You are a real picture of Psalm 73 verse 28:
"But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge. I will tell of all your deeds."
We continue to trust the Lord and realize that He is in control of your care.
We continue to pray for increased strength for you and are grateful for the scanning procedures that direct just the right therapy you need in the healing process.
We love you,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Dear Kara, Thank goodness for Novalis to be able to eradicate these 2 spots that dared to show up just now! How devastating and how uncomfortably miserable the treatments must be even to have to consider them again. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling after all these months and after all the surgery, radiation, and chemo. It doesn't seem possible that anything could have possible escaped to create any more problems. Thankfully it was found and thankfully you have the wonderful attitude and faith and fight in you to do what needs to be done just now, just as you have been doing all along and just as you have been battling every day of your young dear precious life since knowing. We know our Lord has His hand in this, as He has all along at every step of the way, and we know He has a master plan which we cannot even begin to fathom or understand. Please know, dear dear, Kara, how truly and how greatly you are loved and treasured and how fervently our prayers continue day and night for your continued complete healing and total cure and return to your normal healthy state soon. How I wish for this to be a very very special Mother's Day for you with your little Luke and Emma and especially with your own mom who has been with you through the years and never more than this last year and a half in such a special way. Love to all, Aunt Betsy

Dear Kara,
Stay focused! The Lord is in charge of this fight! I pray that this will comfort you. Who knows, maybe this whole thing was set into play when the Lord chose Jenny and Todd's upstairs tenants in common based on future needs.
We pray that the answer will come soon.
Love, Jim and Diane

Hezekiah became deathly sick;
Isaiah, the prophet, went to visit him.
"Set your affairs in order; prepare to die," Isaiah told him. "The Lord says you won't recover."

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall;prayed to the Lord saying:

"I beseech You, O Lord, remember, now, how I have walked before You in Truth; with a perfect heart. I have done THAT WHICH IS GOOD in Your sight."

Hezekiah wept very much.

It came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him, saying:

"Return; tell Hezekiah, the captain of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David, your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you. On the third day you will go up unto the house of the Lord. I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you; this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for mine own sake; for my servant David's sake."

2 Kings 20:1-6

We are thinking of you and praying for you especially on this special day! What a wonderful day to celebrate God's goodness and his love for us! You are truly a testimony of a mother's love.

I know the wedding was beautiful and a special time of celebration! We are so happy for John & Carrie!

We continue to pray for your renewed strength so that the chemo can continue. I'm so thankful for the Novalis that has proved so successful in the past.

"Amen" to Gina's message that was posted earlier. Hugs and prayers,

The Sullivans
