Novalis Tomorrow

Kara is getting a head MRI today to help the doctors with the Novalis procedure that has been scheduled for tomorrow. Her team of doctors met yesterday and decided that one of the spots thought to be a tumor was more likely scarring from a previous tumor, and the other one probably was a small metastatic growth. So they will only be using Novalis on that spot.

Kara received her first round of Herceptin, the chemo drug that was suggested by the Arizona tests, on Friday. They went ahead and paid for it privately rather than wait around for insurance approval, which hopefully will be forthcoming.

Kara had some bloodwork done yesterday, but we don't know yet where her numbers are and whether she can commence full chemo again yet.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for increased bloodcounts so Kara may resume chemotherapy, and that the insurance company will pay for the treatment that has been recommended.
- Please pray that the Novalis procedure goes smoothly and is effective.
- Please pray for Kara to remain hopeful and positive.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you.

Hi Kara,
We are very grateful to hear that you will have the Novalis tomorrow for only one small spot. We also are glad that the Herceptin treatment went well last Friday. We continue to trust the Lord to provide just what you need and to keep you day by day.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" Psalm 91:1,2
We will be praying for you tomorrow as you undergo the Novalis treatment.
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Dear Kara,
We are praying for skill to be placed into the hands of Dr. Teh, that he may send that radiation right into the middle of that darn thing. We are also praying that the peers will see the light, and they will OK the Herceptin. Get outta her body, you darn cancer!
Love, Jim & Diane

Kara, Jesus promised

"For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in My Name, there I AM in the midst of them." Matt. 18:20

"Lo, I AM with you ALWAYS even to the end of the age." Matt.28:20

I want to send you the words to my Mother's Favorite Song she has treasured in her heart for 92 years now.

BECAUSE HE LIVES
Gloria & William J. Gaither

GOD SENT HIS SON, THEY CALLED HIM JESUS
HE CAME TO LOVE, HEAL AND FORGIVE
HE GAVE HIS LIFE, TO BUY MY PARDON
AN EMPTY GRAVE IS THERE TO PROVE
MY SAVIOUR LIVES

AND BECAUSE HE LIVES, I CAN FACE TOMORROW
BECAUSE HE LIVES, ALL FEAR IS GONE
BECAUSE I KNOW, I KNOW, HE HOLDS THE FUTURE
AND LIFE IS WORTH THE LIVING
JUST BECAUSE HE LIVES

HOW SWEET TO HOLD OUR NEW BORN BABY
AND FEEL THE PRIDE AND JOY HE GIVES
BUT GREATEST STILL THE CALM ASSURANCE
THIS CHILD CAN FACE UNCERTAIN DAYS
BECAUSE HE LIVES

At this moment, my Mom, Norene, is at the doctor's office being told that the results of her CT Scan shows Pancreatic Cancer with golf ball tumors in her liver.

Thank you Jesus. We will behold YOU IN ALL YOUR GLORY! What a glorious day! Beause I AM lives I can face tomorrow no matter what Satan sends.

Dear Kara, How wonderful that the Novalis was only needed for l spot and that the chemo last Fri. went so well! Hopefully the physicians are directing all the treatments in the most appropriate and timely order as they have done so beautifully so far and as always we know who the Great Healer and Great Phusician continues to be. The scar tissue tells us how you have been healed and these last rounds of treatment remind us to continue having faith in and trusting our Lord to guide and direct us in the path we should go. Take good care of your precious self knowing that our prayers never cease and that our gratitude to Jesus for his unspeakable mercies and power is deeper with each manifestation of his love and healing grace through you and your unfaltering trust in Him. Much love, Aunt Betsy
