This Weekend

Kara has enjoyed this past week, as she has been able to be more active than she has been in quite some time. The blood transfusion fixed her anemia, and she felt less fatigued. She went to Emma's first ballet class on Wednesday, and played with her in the pool today. She'll spend this weekend enjoying time with her family and resting up for her last round of chemotherapy.

Praises:
- Thank you God for the improvement in Kara's side effects, and that she has enjoyed her "good week" before her next round of chemotherapy.
- Thank you God for good tests results that show the treatment is working.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for continued increased strength and good health for Kara over the weekend.
- Please pray that the last round of chemotherapy goes smoothly for Kara.
- Please pray that the cancer is eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you for keeping Kara in your prayers. We are so thankful that the chemotherapy phase of her treatment is almost over, and that your encouraging presence has remained throughout it. The next phase will most likely be abdominal surgery to remove part of her liver, and she will need your prayers and encouragement through that as well.

Dear Kara, what good news to hear that this has been a better week for you and know that you've been able to get out a bit with the children - activities which you en joy so much and are so therapeutic for you and for them! It's hard to believe that only 1 round of chemo remains and that it's coming up next week. What a trooper you are and what you have endured somehow in order to do your part to eradicate completely this bizarre tumor! We know that miraculous healing has taken place and continues to permeate your physical being and that our Lord has done wondrous things through you and through the medical team and the incredibly potent chemo! I'm overwhelmed to realize what has been going on in your remarkably strong and resilient body and in your wonderful mind and spirit so full of faith and trust and hope and gratitude. You are such a marvelous blessing to me and to all of us and I have been in total awe of God's ongoing power in you, Kara. You cannot imagine the constancy and the depths of the prayers that continue day and night for you and for the entire family of friends and relatives surrounding you and caring for you so beautifully each and every moment of every day. I think of you and pray for you throughout the days and nights and hope you continue to be strengthened and encouraged with each step forward. Much love, Aunt Betsy

We spent last week in Wyoming with Gina and Curby and arrived back home early this morning. It was snowy and rainy and sunny alternating. How majestic God's creation is! The moutains and valleys and rivers are beautiful.
We are keeping you in our prayers and specifically remembered you in prayer at the Chapel of Transfiguration in the Grand Tetons. How encouraging that many people in many places are praying for you, Kara. We are so very glad that this next week you will be completing the chemotherapy. The Lord will see you through as you are healed.
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don
