Sixth Round of Chemotherapy Begins

Kara's sixth round of chemotherapy begins today. This round will complete this phase of her treatment. Next she will have another round of tests, and then decisions on surgeries will be made.

Being unable to eat anything substantial for the past couple of months is taking its toll on her, and she starts this round feeling pretty fatigued and "yucky." We are all glad to see this stage of treatment nearly over.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for health for Kara though this round of chemo -- that her veins hold up, that her bloodwork stays where it needs to be, and that she remains infection-free.
- Please pray for physical and spiritual comfort for Kara during this trying time.
- Please pray that the side effects will be minimal following this round.
- Please pray that the cancer is eradicated from her body, permanently.

Thank you for sharing your time, energy, thoughts, and prayers with Kara. Your prayers have been invaluable to Kara, and God is answering them! Our prayer is that he continues to do so.

Precious Child of God, Kara, today Jesus says to you -
"The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go!"
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go!
Joshua 1:9
But now...the Lord who created you says: "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior....From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can oppose what I do. No one can reverse my actions,
Isaiah 43:1-3,13
When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:14-16
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand-up. You know my every thought when far away. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You both precede and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to know!
Psalms 139:1-6
Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.
Psalms 25:4
Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.
Hebrews 10:35,36

Kara, our life group, friends, and relatives are praying for you as you begin your last chemo today. We have already witnessed a miracle that you have come this far and done so well. We continue to pray that the Lord would show himself powerful in your life and through this trial.

May the Lord infuse you with peace, comfort and renewed faith even as you receive the last chemo. I pray for strength physically and spiritually for you and Matt as well as the entire family as they continue to minister to you.

You are a witness of the Lord's love, care and faithfulness.

Love, The Sullivans

We are so grateful that you have done so well and this is your last round. May God give you strength through this last round and we pray that it goes as well as the last treatment did. Our prayers for you are constantly be lifted to God and we know that he is watching over you through this difficult time. Only He knows his plan for your life. Trust in Him and rest in His grace.

Dear Kara,
As you go through this last chemo treatment, we pray you will take comfort in knowing that it is the last.
I want to send praises and thanks to all your friends and church family for the wonderful meals that they have provided. Each day we start out thinking that cooking a meal would be an easy task, but by the end of a day of keeping up with Miss Em and Lukster, we realize that God sends blessings in many ways, including not having to fix dinner because of the kindness of many others.
Love, Gamma and Gampa
