Neuro-ophthalmologist assessment

The neuro-ophthalmologist did not find anything anything wrong with Kara. He reviewed her MRIs and thinks that the starbursts may be the result of swelling around the former tumor sites in her brain as they slowly go away. Kara's energy is starting to come back. She has been riding a three-wheeled bicycle around the neighborhood.

What a wonderful report to receive from the neuro-opthamologist. We are glad to hear you are doing so well and are receiving such care.

We continue to appreciate the efforts to keep information on the blog up to date and know the effort that must take as well.

Hi Kara,

We are grateful to hear the good report from the neuro-ophthalmologist exam. We trust the swelling will dissipate and with it the visual disturbances.
How wonderful you have good energy for bike-riding around the neighborhood. Sounds like fun, and do Emma and Luke like to join you on trikes perhaps?
We thank the Lord for your summertime activities and continued healing!

Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Kara, we're so glad for the positive report on the visual symptoms. We are thankful the latest round of treatments are over, and that you are regaining enough energy to again enjoy the "lazy, crazy days of summer" with the kids. Keep on pedaling! We'll keep praying.

With love and prayers,

What strength you both have, I found your story via Cancer Survivor's Network. I would like to say I can share a survivor story--but I think that KARA is the story!!

My husband was diagnosed with Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, Colon Primary, Lymph node mets in late May so we are just starting this journey.

I left you a mesage on the Cancer Survivor's message board.

We are in Tyler, Texas and being treated here, I am interested in your doctor in Houston.

Keep up your good work, It seems that your prayers are being answered.
