Kara's blood counts were too low for her to receive chemotherapy today. She was still able to receive the Avastin treatment. Emma and Aunt Jean are having a good time at Disneyworld. Emma called Luke after visiting the Animal Kingdom to share the experience with him. Luke has been at the farm with Mimi and Doc and has the place all to himself. He'll come home for the weekend to enjoy Mommy & Daddy's undivided attention. Emma and Aunt Jean will return Sunday.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara's blood counts improve.
- Please pray that Kara will be able to resume chemotherapy next week.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Dear Kara, How good that you could get the Avastin this week, esp. since the chemo is on hold
for awhile. Hopefully the week-end with your little Luke will be a restful and fun one, knowing that Emma and Aunt Jean are having such a great time on their trip. Take good care of your precious self, and Kara, remember how very special you are and how very much we pray daily for you to have the strength to follow Dr. Lynch's next course of treatment knowing that he of course is being directed by our Great Physician who holds you in the palm of His hand and who watches over you day and night as you return to full health and strength. Looks like Emma is having a lot of fun at Disney World! :) I'm sorry that your counts were too low to get both treatments yesterday; I know that is frustrating. It's good that you can still get the Avastin, though, huh? Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Jesus was teaching in 1 of the synagogues on the sabbath.
