Novalis Tomorrow

Kara will have chemotherapy this morning (hopefully her bloodcounts will be high enough to have her full chemo), and then will have the run-through for the Novalis this afternoon. They will be using a mask, rather than the halo device that screws into her head, which will be less painful for Kara, and will allow her to continue her chemotherapy uninterrupted (when using the halo, she has to go off any drugs that reduce her platelets). Tomorrow, Kara will have the Novalis procedure done on three places in her brain.

Kara's been fighting a bit of a cold this week, but is feeling much better. Luke appears to be over his GI bug. Kara and Emma went to Horn Elementary on Monday for Emma's kindergarten enrollment/orientation -- it's hard to believe that Emma's going to be starting school next year!

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara can receive her full chemotherapy today.
- Please pray that the Novalis procedure is successful.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you.

Hey Kara,

Praises to God for things like masks instead of halo's! Our prayers are with you and for you today and everyday.

Jack says he needs to see Emma soon and I agree :) It's time again for the slip and slide!

See you soon friend...

Dear Kara,
Take a deep breath, let it out slowly, through your mouth, and visulize all those cancer critters being gobbled up and God dusting them away with a huge smile. We are happy that Emma is going to Kindegarten, she is so ready! We will miss her during the day. The eradication of cancer from your body was one of the petitions at grandma's funeral; so many people are praying for you, and now Margaret is in heaven talking to The Big Man on your behalf...
All our love, gramma and grampa H

Dear Kara & Matt, Hopefully you're home enjoying a restful and fun week-end after successfully finishing the chemo and Novalis this week! It's so hard to visualize our little Emma heading off to kinder. already, but we know she's more than ready, thanks to her mom's, Jean & John & Carrie's, Mimi & Doc's prime times with her not to mention the Herynk's wonderful contributions throughout these last 5 years also! Most of all we're so grateful for our good Lord's blessings to her via taking good care of her precious mom especially these last 26 months. We know that He'll continue to guide Dr. Lynch and the team as well as you Kara as you follow these next steps with as much faith and trust and determination as you've shown at every opportunity. Love to all and special prayers for you and Emma and Luke as you look forward to Easter with all its promises and treasures, Aunt Betsy

Caleb reassured the people as they stood before Moses --
"Let us go into The Promise Land at once; possess it.
We are well able to conquer it!
It is a wonderful country ahead;
The Lord Loves Us.
He will bring us safely into the land; give it to us.
It is very fertile - a land 'flowing with milk and honey'!
Do not rebel against The Lord.
Do not fear the people of the land.
They are but bread for us to eat!
The Lord is with us.
He has removed His Protection from them!
Do not be afraid of them!"

Then The Lord said:
My servant Caleb is a different kind of man --
he has obeyed me fully.
I will bring him into The Promised Land;
his descendants will have their full share.
Numbers 13:30, 14:7,24

Father, write upon our minds; our hearts your mighty miracles. How lovingly You have cared for us again and again. How you direct us; guide us with Your Strong Hand.

Jesus, grant us to be the different kind of man or woman You want us to be; to possess Your Fully Obedient Spirit so we can share Your Visions; go forth with You into The Promise Land Forever!

Hi Kara,
Hope your treatment went well and you had a wonderful weekend. I have no doubt that Emma is ready for kindergarten, but I wonder if it is ready for her. Everyone has spent such time with her that she may just decide to start with 1st grade instead.
Have I told you that Chelsey is moving to Midland, TX? Between wanting to see you and following her, we may get Dad accross state lines yet.
Take Care, and know that we think of you and your family all of the time. We may pray quietly, but God hears.
Love,
Jana
