Update

Kara had a busy weekend: she took the kids to get their Christmas pictures taken, went to a movie, got some pampering (had a facial), and went to church. She may have tried to do too much, and has had a fever today. Her doctor feels that since her white counts are relatively good, she does not have to be hospitalized right away. She's on some antibiotics and will go in tomorrow for a checkup. She felt really bad earlier today (achey and had the chills), but the fever has lowered, and she's feeling better and resting.

Matt's parents made it to town to spend a few weeks in Houston. Emma and Luke are very excited to see them! Mom and Dad are going back up to Joplin to winterize the house.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara's continues to improve, and her recuperation is swift and complication-free.
- Please pray for good results for the November 30 tests.
- Please pray that the cancer is eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you very much. Again, anyone who would like to send Kara a note or birthday card, please email me and I'll send you her address.

Kara, I pray for your strength and health to return. I hope this little blip with your temperature will soon subside. Always in our thoughts and prayers.

Kara, No matter what else is going on - please take care of you.
My Motherly-Grandmotherly mode is in full gear when I read about how much you accomplished this weekend and now - you have an infection.
We pray you will take care of you and get past this infection soon. Love, Gem

Kara,

So glad that you got a chance to spend some good time with the kids and go to see Emma sing. All the pictures are wonderful. We continue to think about you each day.

Hi Kara,

It sounds like you had a fun weekend. Please take care and don't overdo. We are eager to see you at Thanksgiving. So please rest up for the trip up our way then.
We have very much for which to be thankful at this time for sure.
The Lord continue to strenthen and bless you and Matt and the kids.
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Kara: God is obviously revealing your unbelievable faith, strength, courage and character, just like He did with Abraham when He asked him to sacrifice his own son, Isaac. I will pray for your resiliency and your strength to remain faithful to God and fight off this terrible cancer. Love, Twila
