In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Visualize...it is the 4th of July and the fireworks are exploding in the sky...all those fireworks are your white cells increasing in the blink of an eye.
Lord, please be in charge of Kara's white blood cells, give, give, give her more please.

Dear Kara,
I hope that your white cells are back up in the chemo-treatment range now. I know it is frustrating to not be able to receive the treatments. We'll be praying for you and the counts--hope that you can have a relaxing week and weekend, too!

Give me the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to use every problem, every difficult circumstance for the greater progress of Your Gospel

His Promise:

Father, we pray as we approach The Throne Of Grace, we can come BOLDLY BEFORE YOU for all the things we need.
Give us a Movement of Grace in our hearts and our lives.
Transform me till Christ be formed in me.
Give us grace and mercy to continue our journey.
Help us in those places of suffering
Help us in those circumstances that don't seem to make any sense.
Use our lives to further Your Gospel and for
THE GLORY OF GOD ALWAYS.
