Kara, Matt and the kids will be coming to the farm this weekend to celebrate Luke's third birthday. The weather here in Texas has been uncharacteristically wintery, but we're hoping for a thaw so we can enjoy running around outside.
Kara received her chemotherapy this week, and seems to have tolerated it well so far. Matt's mom is in town, and they have been busy doing little projects around the house.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara continues to tolerate the chemotherapy well.
- Please pray for insurance company approval of the Avastin.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Happy Birthday to Luke! That will be fun to celebrate at the farm. I hope the weather cooperates so he can run around with his cows. :) Have a wonderful weekend...we will see you next week!

This week our church has been focusing on prayer. Last night a Kenyan pastor shared some insights, with a focus on persistence in prayer. The passage was Luke 11:9-13. We hope this encourages you as much as it has encouraged us!

YES! PERSISTENT PRAYER WILL BREAK EVERY RESISTANCE!
Shawn Hornbeck, the kidnapped boy returned home; said this was his prayer EVERY night:
"I PRAYED TO GOD that 1 day I would be back with my family. I crossed(the sign of the cross on his chest) myself EVERY night. When I thought of giving up, I felt my mom and dad's love."
When you read his amazing rescue; read how he prayed every night for this, you see how God took the mustard seed faith of Shawn; moved many mountains so Shawn could be rescued and go home to the people he loved so much.
GOD MOVES WHEN WE PRAY!
In Acts 12 God's Word tells us
Prayer was made WITHOUT CEASING by the Church to God for Peter.
An Angel of the Lord came upon Peter; released him from prison.
Daniel was steadfast in prayer (Daniel 6:10;22). "My God sent His angel to SHUT the lion's mouth."
In Daniel 9:3 he says,"I set my face to the Lord God to seek by prayer; supplication with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.
In Daniel 10:10 the Angel says to him,
"FEAR NOT! From the 1st day that you set your heart to understand (pray), your words were heard! I AM COME for your words."
In The Name of Jesus; by His Blood, we PRAY WITHOUT CEASING Kara is COMPLETELY HEALED; TOTALLY RESTORED from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet.

How grateful we are that the Lord reigns and loves you and your family.
