PET Scan Schedule

Kara's next PET Scan will be taken on February 2nd. We hope that whatever showed up in her lungs last time was only inflammation from an infection, and will not be present on these scans. If the spots are still there, they will proceed with the Novalis procedure to treat them.

Kara and Matt and the kids are heading to La Grange right now to spend the holiday weekend at the farm. Luke loves it there, so it will be a great place for an early birthday party for him.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that February scans reveal Kara's body to be cancer free.
- Please pray for peace and comfort for Kara as she waits for the scans.
- Please pray that the cancer is eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

Thank you.

Kara,

It was great to finally meet you! You look terrific. It sounds like your visit was pretty routine -- a great thing. Keep it up. Your radiance made our day.

I listened to a young woman's story of how she and her husband were planning on being missionaries. They were required to take physicals which revealed her breast cancer. As she was seeking God's face for an answer to this dilemma she claimed Romans 8:28:
I know all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
A friend told her about a Specialists in Houston who she went to for a second opinion. This doctor found everything clear; normal. She is PRAISING JESUS who blessed her with her third child - a precious little girl.
We are claiming this for you Kara as you take the scan in Feb. In Jesus precious name and "WITH HIS STRIPES" you are completely healed; restored from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet! Your scan is clear and normal.
JESUS has granted me life and favor
Your care has prserved my spirit!
Job 10:12
Thank you Holy Father!
To JESUS be the Glory Forever.

Hi Kara,
We trust the birthday celebration last Saturday was fun for Luke in La Grange. Zachary had a great time at his celebration Saturday, but "little sis" Kendall cried beause Zachary was opening all the presents! She kept saying, "Zachary did it!" (That is what she says when she "tattles" on him!)
Am sure "big sis" Emma was enjoying Luke's birthday fun along with everyone.
We continue to trust you in the Lord's care as He is your shield. Verses Genesis 15:1 and Psalm 28:7 reassure us that God is our shield and our protector and our great reward. May you be wrapped up in His love day by day.
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Dear Kara, How good to talk to your mom and hear about your wonderful celebration for Luke-with Emma and David and all the family! The farm is such a marvelous place full of excitement and wonder with all the animals and space to wander around and play in the dirt and plants. It must be hard to go back to the real city world after such fun times. I'm so delighted that you are doing more with and for the children each day. Please don't let your schedule overrun your power nap times, as plenty of rest and good food hopefully will make all the difference in Feb. also! Enjoy! Enjoy! Remember how very special you are to all of us and how many more birthdays and holidays we want to celebrate with you and the family! Continuous daily prayers now more than ever are going strong and gratitude for your return to good health above all - Much love, Aunt
Betsy

Dear Kara,
Get ready to play, gamma and gampa are on their way (I wonder if Em will ever get the "r" in there. We leave tomorrow, so please God, give Kara strength, rest, and a special event to have fun with the babies. Take away her worries so that her wonderful sense of humor can shine through.
Love, Gamma and Gampa

Kara,
It's good to hear that you're feeling stronger. Knowing that you have enough energy to deal with your children says a lot about your energy level! We pray for continued strength as well as good results on your lung tests in Feb. Remember that God holds you in the palm of His hand.

Love,
Curt and Linda
