Tomorrow (Wednesday), Kara will undergo focused radiation therapy to treat the three smaller brain tumors that were not removed by her prior sugery. This procedure is called the "gamma knife". It is a non-invasive procedure and she should be home the same evening. You can read more about the procedure by clicking on "Focused Radiation Therapy" above. The doctors are planning for her to begin chemotherapy on Monday. She will be in the hospital for three days receiving the initial chemotherapy treatment.

Thank you so much for this wonderful site! John Jr. and Jean you are doing a magnificent job! I am totally amazed - I feel I am right there with you!
