Scan Results

Kara had scans yesterday and received her scan results today. We are thankful that there are no new tumors in her brain or lungs. The tumor near her adrenal gland is is no longer active and is going away. There does appear to be new growth in her liver and spleen, however. Kara will meet with Dr. Lynch on Tuesday to discuss her treatment regimen in view of the latest scan results.

Prayer requests:

- Pray that Dr. Lynch is able to chart a successful treatment path for Kara.
- Pray that the cancer be completely eradicated from Kara's body.
- Pray to give Kara the hope and strength she needs as she continues her treatment.

Dear Kara, How grateful we are to know the results of this latest scan! I'm so hopeful that your wonderful Dr. Lynch will be led to outline the best course to combat the new spots and that when he does you'll be able and strong enough to continue carrying through with the treatment he will want you to have. Your strength seems to be returning and your marvelous attitude and faith are beautiful to see. Please take good care of your precious self while you enjoy your little Emma and Luke and participate with them in all their activities. Remember how very special you are and how greatly you are loved and prayed for continuously each day. Much love, Aunt Betsy P.S. Thanks so much, John, for keeping us updated on Kara's progress and for your beautiful thoughts and prayers.

Kara,
How glad we are to hear that you and Emma and Luke are having fun summer days together taking it easy with fun activities.
We are grateful for the good news of the scan as we continue to pray for the Lord to preserve and heal you.
We trust the Lord each step of the way, to provide just the right treatment for your complete healing.
"The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand." Psalm 37:23-24
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don

Dearest Kara,
Please know that although I don't often write, you and the family are always in my prayers. We love you dearly. I have given out many of Matt's pens and notified local organizations of the website. You are an inspiration to many of my friends, four of which are currently undergoing treatments for cancer. You are in their prayers too. I love all the pictures and wish I could give Emma, Luke and you all big hugs in person but I'll send them long distance.
Much love, Aunt Mary Margaret
