Kara will be getting her full chemotherapy today -- both drugs. She will need a blood transfusion next week, though.
Kara, Matt, and the kids will come to the farm tomorrow after Emma's soccer game, and we will enjoy a nice Mother's Day together.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara's blood transfusion next week goes smoothly.
- Please pray for energy and strength for Kara so that she can enjoy Mother's Day with her children.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.

In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Dear Kara, Thinking of you as you await your transfusion this week and praying that you'll continue to get stronger and healthier with each week's chemo and rest afterward. Hope you had a beautiful and memorable Mother's Day at the farm with your mom and with your little Emma and Luke.
