Chemo Today

Kara has her long day of chemotherapy today. Her bloodwork revealed that her bloodcounts are really low, so she will go in on Tuesday to have some transfusions to boost those levels. Hopefully that will also help Kara feel less fatigued -- she is pretty low-energy now from the past few rounds of chemo and her low bloodcounts. Kara's also on antibiotics because Emma has a case of walking pneumonia and is herself on antibiotics.

Hopefully everyone will be feeling better by Easter so we can enjoy the day together. Mom and Dad will be back from a packing trip in Joplin, and Matt's mom will be in Houston, too.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for good health for Kara over the weekend while she waits for the blood transfusions.
- Please pray that Kara tolerates this round of chemotherapy well.
- Please pray that the cancer be permanently eradicated from Kara's body.

Thank you. We hope you all enjoy a wonderful, happy Easter with your friends and families.

Dear Kara, What a help to have this first new round of chemo behind you and to know that the transfusions are on the way to boost the blood counts and the energy levels! It can't be easy going through the chemo sessions even if the nausea isn't that pronounced. I'm so sorry also to hear about Emma's walking pneumonia but am so glad she's under good care and appropriate treatment amd also has her other grandmother with her and Luke this week to play with the little ones and to help mom and dad in so many wonderful ways just by being there. Please relax this Easter week-end and know that this season of hope and renewal carries great promises which our Lord has for each of us and expecially for you, dear Kara, His very special witness and envoy and messenger of healing and caring and miracles. Much love to all, Aunt Betsy

Hi Kara,
I hope you have a wonderful (and relaxing!) Easter with your family. I'll be praying for you to not catch Emma's pneumonia and for Emma to get over it soon. :) See you next week at church!
Love,
Leslie

Dear Kara,

There is so much you're having to deal with right now--with the chemo, Emma's walking pneumonia, and your low blood counts. We're praying for you--for time to rest and be renewed. We also pray for God's blessing on all of you this weekend, as you reflect on Christ's death and resurrection. The same power that raised Him from the dead is in us, through the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

Much Love,
Gina and Curby

John 11:1-44, 12:1,2

Jesus keeps walking to the destination where Lazarus is sick for He loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus.
Jesus said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified by it."
Jesus said to Martha, "Your brother will rise again. I AM THE RESURRECTION; THE LIFE. HE THAT BELIEVES IN ME, though he were dead, HE WILL LIVE.
Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha said, "Lord by this time he stinketh, for he has been dead 4 days!"
Jesus said to her, "IF YOU WOULD BELIEVE, YOU WILL SEE THE GLORY OF GOD!"
They took away the stone.
Jesus said, "Lazarus, come forth."
He, Lazarus, that was dead for 4 days came forth, bound hand and foot with his graveclothes; his face was bound about with a cloth.
Jesus said, "LOOSE HIM;LET HIM GO."

I AM still God. I AM right on time!
I AM the God of NO LIMITS. I AM God who is able to raise the dead. Who can stop Me from sending you the distance I have created you to go?

BEHOLD! THE PLACE OF BLESSING I HAVE PREPARED FOR YOU.

Hey Kara, this is Aaron Zustiak, I heard about your situation and this blog through Carrie. We all were friends in High School. I was dating Kelli McCormick at the time and you Carrie and Kelli were an inseperable trio. Even when guys came into the pcture you were solid.
Sorry to hear about your situation. I will certainly be in prayer for you. Your family looks beautiful. Don't give up.

Hi girl!
I had lunch with the man who bought Bobbi today. He still has both of her babies and they're getting fat out in his pasture. The gelding has a bad habit of picking on the baby calves, but it's genetic due to the "cow" breeding.
I've been checking in on you, but haven't left any comments lately, so I thought I should let you know that you're still on my mind and in my prayers. Mom and Dad ask about you all the time too. Tell your folks to feel free to call us if they need any help when they're in town. Miss you bunches!
Love,
Jana
