The PET Scan showed that there is no metabolic activity (no active cancer) in Kara's liver or brain. The PET Scan did pick up two tiny spots of metabolic activity in her lungs. The radiologist thought it might just be inflammation or an infection, but could not rule out their being tumors. Kara was very disappointed to hear this. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing. She will talk to her oncologist soon, and he will tell her what the plan will be. Most likely waiting a bit and repeating a PET Scan to see if there's been any growth.

- Please pray for peace and comfort for Kara during this stressful time, that she might be able to enjoy the holidays.
- Please pray that the lung spots turn out not to be tumors.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.

I have been encouraged by Psalm 146 today. Verses 5 and 6 say:
"Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them--the Lord, who remains faithful forever."
And verse 11 says:
"The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love."
We continue to entrust you to the Lord as He continues to preserve you.

Kara, just keep in mind what we our celebrating - the birth of our Lord and King. No matter what the future holds for you, trust in him, he is holding you up in his arms and will not fail you. His plan for your life is unfailing and you can put all your trust in him. Relinquish your concerns and worries to him and he will give you peace that passes all understanding.
Dear Kara, What wonderful news to know that there is no activity in the brain or the liver. The lungs as you know are notorious for keeping and showing every little tiny area of remote inflammation, infection, scar tissue, or recent exposure to whatever. Hopefully these tiny areas will soon resolve and not reflect any recent or current activity of any kind by the time of the next test, especially if you can stay well and respiratory healthy over the holidays! You are so healthy now and making such remarkable progress in so many ways. You continue to be uppermost in our thoughts and prayers every day and night. How wonderful to know that our Lord has a marvelous plan and is putting all the pieces together in the best possible way for you! We pray for your physicians daily and for your P.T/O.T. folks and know that they are following their parts of His plan as well. In Numbers 11 Moses told the Lord:
"Why pick on me to give me the burden of a people like this? Are they my children? Am I their father? Is that why you have given me the job of nursing them along like babies until we get to the land you promised their ancestors? Where am I suppose to get meat for all these people?!? They weep to me saying, 'Give us meat!' I can't carry this nation by myself! The load is far too heavy! If you are going to treat me like this, please kill me right now; it will be a kindness! Let me out of this impossible situation."
The Lord answers Moses:
"Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel; bring them to the Tabernacle, to stand there with you. I will come down;talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you - put it upon them also. They will bear the burden of the people with you so you will not have the task alone."
The Lord came down in the Cloud and talked with Moses. The Lord took of the Spirit that was upon Moses and put it upon the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied for some time.
Moses said:
I pray all of the Lord's people are prophets.
Lord put Your Spirit upon them all!
Dear Kara,
In a time like this, the best reassurance is our hope, our peace, and our lasting confidence in Christ. We had such a wonderful time at Thanksgiving and now we cling to our hope, hope that is rooted in Him. Every day, I see that little Angel of Hope and remember our common bond. JESUS Loves U So Much!
Dr. James Dobson, who had a stroke, claimed these verses. Both he and his wife, Shirley, testify how God used His Word to send miracle after miracle.
