In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Dear Kara,
It's so good to know that you're back at home and are able to recover there. I know that you are discouraged by this, but take heart knowing that God is at work in you in all things! You are His precious child.
We love you so much,
Gina and Curby
THE LORD IS FAITHFUL TO YOU
I will praise You, Lord
with all my heart!
Tell about the wonders
You have worked.
God Most High, I will rejoice;
I will celebrate; SING
because of YOU.
You rule forever, Lord;
You are on your throne.
You judge the world fairly;
treat all nations with justice.
Your children can run to You
because You are a fortress
in times of trouble.
Everyone who honors Your Name
can TRUST You,
because YOU ARE FAITHFUL
TO ALL WHO DEPEND ON YOU.
Psalm 9.1,2,7-10
My mouth be filled with
Your Praise;
with Your Honor all day.
I will HOPE ALWAYS,
I will PRAISE JESUS MORE AND MORE.
Psalm 71:8,14
Kara, Lay your head down
close your eyes
picture in your mind
sitting in The Lap of Jesus
with His arms around you
REMEMBER
In His Presence is FULLNESS OF JOY
In His Right Hand are pleasures
FOREVERMORE.
Psalm 16:11
There's NO PLACE like
your own cozy nest
to recover your strength.
