In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Thank you, Jean, for letting us know how to petition the Lord for Kara. We will be praying that the fever abates or that it is something that can be easily treated.
Love and prayers continue for Kara.

Dear Kara, Hopefully the fever hasn't robbed you of all your energy which the transfusions gave you last week and hopefully it'll soon be gone so that you can have another good week-end with the family and friends. We're praying so constantly for you and for your miracle to continue. Please know how greatly you are loved and how much you mean to me and to all of us with your wonderful essence of YOU-your attitude and faith and trust and positive participation in all aspects of LIFE which you show us how to enjoy and appreciate with your wonderful determination and keeping on keeping on. Please rest some this week-end and know that our prayers surround you day and night, dear dear Kara. Much love, Aunt Betsy
