Kara's radiotherapist told her that the spots on her lung are too small to fix onto for doing the Novalis just yet, so he plans on waiting until after her next PET-Scan, which will be done at the beginning of February. While they're waiting for that to be done, he will go ahead and have her body cast made (which helps position the Novalis machine) so that if the PET-Scan shows the spots still there, and they feel they are cancerous, they can proceed immediately.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for peace for Kara as she awaits the next scans and their results.
- Please pray that the spots are present in the next scans, so that Kara does not have to have further treatment on them and so that she feels more confident in her recovery.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently.
Thank you.

Hello, Kara and family! Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing the lovely Christmas pictures--you all looked great! We will be praying for you as this new year begins, that God will continue to heal your body and rid it of the cancer. :) See you Sunday!
Love,
Leslie
Dear Kara,
We are praying for you as we have been--for complete healing and excellent findings on your next PET scan. Throughout this month, may you find joy and peace in the little and the big things.
On Sunday, we knelt and prayed as a congregation, reflecting on a passage from Ephesians, which I claimed for you, for me, and for our family. It would take up a lot of space if I typed it on the blog, but read it when you have a moment. It will encourage you and fill you until you're overflowing as you treasure it in your heart. It's Ephesians 3:14-21.
We love you,
Gina and Curby
I hope this will be a year of peace for you and yours, Kara. I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas season.
HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL.
Hebrews 10:23
A number of years ago, somebody counted the promises in the Bible; totaled up 7,474.
I can't verify that number, but I do know that within the pages of the Bible there are thousands of promises that grab the reader and say,
Believe Me!
Accept Me!
Hold on to Me!
Of all the promises in the Bible,
the ones that mean the most
are the promises that offer HOPE
at the END of affliction.
Those promises tell us,
It is worth it!
Walk with Me!
Trust Me.
Wait with Me.
I, JESUS, WILL REWARD YOU.....

Dear Kara, I always am comforted by the wonderful comments from your friends and family. I too want to send my best wishes for this New Year to you and yours and to send my assurance to you of my determination to pray for you often each day. Love, Gem
Hi Kara,
I say "Amen" to those verses in Ephesians 3:14-21 that Gina referred to. We do pray that you will have continued peace as Christ continues to "dwell in your heart by faith" and as you know His love as His power works in you. Praise the Lord, He is able. We trust Him for your complete healing and say to God be the Glory!
We love you,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don
Dear Kara - I was driving home from work a couple of days ago, listening to KSBJ (89.3 FM, the most uplifting, God-filled radio station ever!) Instead of talking about New Year resolutions that usually get broken within a few weeks, they were focusing on the triumphs that their listeners had in 2005. I immediately thought of YOU! You have triumphed over illness this past year, you have triumphed over fear, you have triumphed over so much, all with God's help. Here's to another year of triumphs! with love, Liz
Dear Kara, What beautiful Christmas photos of all the family! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful holiday! How great to have a few weeks to rest and recuperate before more testing and possible treatment. We know you are a wonderful testimony to God's healing power and grace and how you have renewed our faith and trust in these past months. You and Matt, Emma and Luke, Jean, John and Carrie, Carol and John continue to be uppermost in our hearts and thoughts and prayers daily. Please remember how very special you are to all of us. Much love, Aunt Betsy
