In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. - Psalm 28:7
We're praying for you, Kara, for the Lord to give you strength and relief.

Hi, Kara! I'm sorry to hear that you are so wiped-out physically right now. It will pass! Hang in there! The important thing is for you to be strong mentally, and I know you are. I posted a comment for you yesterday wishing you a Happy Mother's Day but I'm unable to find it! It could be anywhere - I'm new to this computer technology! Maybe you'll find it somewhere!!! Anyway ... take care of yourself and know that you are in my thoughts daily.

Bless you Jean for letting us know Kara is coming through the strongest Chemo per her doctor. Bless her heart! Our prayers have been taking her to The Throne every minute of everyday when we read how severe this treatment is. Thank goodness she is young to be able to tolerate this, plus Jesus is with her always!
O Lord You are behind me - before me; Your hand is on me. Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? Even there shall Your hand lead me; Your right hand will hold me. I will praise You; for I am fearfully - wonderfully made.
Psalms 139:5,7,10,14
