Just a quick update to let you know that Kara will be coming home tonight. Before she is released she will receive boosts through her IV to replenish her low potassium and magnesium levels.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for the reduction and management of side effects following this round of chemotherapy, and for the prevention of any infections.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from Kara's body, permanently. Thank you so very much.

In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

When I see the priceless pictures of you, Emma and Luke that Jean so beautifully snaps I see such loved; happy children who think their Mom hung the moon. I think of your Granny Neta who told me when Betsy and Bill were born she and Granddad Warner were going to dot every i and cross every t. They would be perfect children! She said by the time John and Karen came along they were too tired so they decided to KISS them to perfection.
