The results were not what we had hoped for. The spots on Kara's lungs are cancerous, and the tumor in her liver is active again. There also appears to be some activity in her pancreas or adrenal gland.
Update: Kara will meet with her oncologist today or tomorrow, and will most likely begin chemotherapy again next week. The chemotherapy has been very effective against the previous tumors, so we believe it will continue to be so.

- Please pray for comfort and peace for Kara during this difficult time.
- Please pray that there is a promising treatment plan.
- Please pray that the cancer is permanently eradicated from Kara's body.

My dear Kara, we were saddened to hear the latest report, but we have faith that no matter what the future holds God will keep his hand upon you and carry you through this difficult time. I don't know what to say, except to tell you that you are always in my prayers. I will pray for comfort and courage and strength to beat this cancer again. I know that God can rid your body of this cancer and I will continue to pray that He will do so. God bless you and keep you.

I was in prayer for you last night with our Jesus. He told me that Satan would come against you again - BUT FOR YOU NOT TO WORRY - JESUS IS STILL IN CONTROL - THIS BATTLE IS NOT OVER - JESUS IS THE VICTOR!!!!!!!
Jesus said for you to remember in Daniel 3 how King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold. He called all together to dedicate the image, decreeing everyone to fall down and worship it. If they didn't worship it they would be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said:
If it be so, our God, whom we serve, is ABLE TO DELIVER US FROM THE BURNING FIERY FURNANCE. HE WILL DELIVER US OUT OF YOUR HAND, O KING (Satan).
But if not, be it known to you, O King(Satan), WE WILL NOT SERVE YOUR GOD, NOR WORSHIP THE GOLDEN IMAGE WHICH YOU HAVE SET UP.
Then Nebuchadnezzar - FULL OF FURY - commanded the furnace to be heated 7 times hotter. The soldiers who threw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the furnace were killed. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Did we cast 3 men into the midst of the fire? Lo, I see 4 men! They have no hurt! The form of the 4th is like THE SON 0F GOD!"
Then Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out from the midst of the fire!
The princes, governors, and captains saw these men upon whose bodies THE FIRE HAD NO POWER! Nor was a hair of their head singed! Their coats were not changed!
THEY DID NOT EVEN SMELL OF SMOKE!
Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke:
BLESSED BE THE GOD OF SHADRACH, MESHACH AND ABEDNEGO! He came to His Beloved Children in the middle of the fiery furnace; DELIVERED THEM WHO TRUSTED IN HIM. JESUS CHANGED THE KING'S WORD; YIELDED THEIR BODIES -
THAT THEY MIGHT NOT SERVE NOR WORSHIP ANY GOD EXCEPT THEIR OWN GOD!
HE IS EL ELYON - "GOD THE HIGHEST"
Hold on to JESUS! He is in the middle of the fiery furnace with you - always.

Dear Kara, This previous message puts it quite succinctly really - and my sentiments exactly. John, Jr. says it all for all of us . We pray believing and we know that you and your medical team with our Lord's guiding hand will pull us through this latest set-back and hopefully get rid of this last bit of tumor. You are so very brave and strong and so full of faith and trust and have done your part so beautifully all along. We know that He has always taken wonderful care of us and that He will not abandon us now but will find a way to clear these last remaining remnants of tumor from your healthy strong body. Oh, dear precious Kara, He is able and will give you and all the family strength for this latest challenge. Please know and remember how very special you are and how very loved you are by all of us and most of all by your Maker who continues to hold you in the palm of His hand while you are being healed in so many ways. I am so sorry to hear the recent results. You are in my prayers nightly. I know god can give you the victory please do not loose hope, ask him for strength and deny the devil your hope. I found injecting a little humor also helps. You may find thinking of your cancer as the mole in the game whack a mole and visualize winning the game. I want to see you as a top scorer in whack a mole.
