In February 2005, Kara was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic brain cancer – large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. She is a devoted mother of two, and a caring and generous wife, sister and daughter. This blog was started to keep family and friends informed of Kara's progress. The thoughts and prayers Kara has received through this blog have been an unending source of hope and inspiration, including many kind and encouraging comments from people she has never met. We thank you all.

Dear Kara, I am so glad to hear that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Your family is just beautiful! Did Emma get her hair cut short? She looks a little more grown up hu? You and your family have a great New Years; I pray and know that this is going to be the best year ever! God is amazing! Take care Love Laura F.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful 2006. It is so good that you can now recover from all you have been through, even if you do need another treatment, the others are all behind you now. Praise God! We will continue to keep you all in our prayers and pray for your continued strength.
Dear Kara,
The photos are great and capture all of your Christmas traditions. The birthday cake for Jesus is such a good idea, especially as Emma is starting to understand all aspects of Christmas.
We love you and are praying for a new year that is refreshing, healing, full of hope and joy.
Love,
Gina and Curby
Hi Kara and family,
Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos of you all together at Christmas. What a blessing to celebrate together the gift of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do trust Him to continue His watchcare over all of you and us throughout the coming year.
Happy New Year!
Love,
Aunt Karen and Uncle Don
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
MAY 2006 - EVERY YEAR - BE FILLED WITH THE JOY OF JESUS!
Thank you for the beautiful Christmas pictures especially the one of the family. It looks like John has someone towering over him!?! When I look at the picture of all of you together I feel like dancing just as King David did - it gives me so much joy!
KEEP ME AS THE APPLE OF YOUR EYE, O LORD, HIDE ME IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS.
Psalms 17:8
To JESUS be the Glory!
Great things He has done!
