Kara is getting better day by day, and is busy getting the kids ready for school, which starts next week. Emma will be in the Bunny class, and Luke will be a Pony. Kara has met with their teachers and thinks it will be a good year for both of them. Kara is taking Emma and Luke to get back-to-school haircuts this morning.
Sunday evening, the family had a birthday party for Matt. If there are pictures from that, I'll try to get them sent to me and posted!
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray that Kara's recovery continues to go well.
- Please pray that the cancer be eradicated from her body, permanently.
"I call on you, O God, for you will answer me;
give ear to me and hear my prayer."
- Psalm 17:6
Thank you for your continued prayers and words of encouragement for Kara throughout these past months -- they are so greatly appreciated.

Hi Kara,
We are so very glad to hear that you are enjoying preparing Emma and Luke for their classes this year. What a blessing that you are regaining your strength to tend these needs.

HAPPY B-DAY MATT!!!!!!!
HAPPY B-DAY Betsy!!!!!!!
I know you two received THE BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT this year!!
I will live forever in your tabernacle! Oh, to be safe beneath the shelter of your wings! You have heard my vows Jesus to praise You everyday! Thank you Jesus for giving me the blessings you reserve for those who reverence your name! You have given me added years of life, rich and full. I will live before You Jesus forever.
Psalms 61:4-7
Kara, These are wonderful words - to hear that Matt was able to celebrate his birthday at home with you and the children. I am confident he is very grateful for this marvelous celebration.
You are continuing to make dramatic progress each day - something so close to you, you probably can't realize ! What great progress each moment, day, week and month ... we must be so very grateful.
Mom is feeling much better - trying to get back to normal - teaching her Sunday School class and going to bridge every 2 weeks or so. She never fails to ask about you and pray for you. I know she must have a straight line to our Heavenly Father. She has been one of the foremost champions for His cause for so long.
We all love you and send our hugs and healing prayers. Gem
Dear Kara,
I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better and that you're able to help Emma and Luke get ready for school. :) I hope you had a happy birthday, Matt!

Happy Birthday Matt! I'm glad you're both having a great and normal weekend, getting the kids ready for school.
Dear Kara, What a wonderful time for you and the family to be able to do ordinary and extraordinary fun things at home such as celebrate birthdays, get school haircuts and supplies, and make plans for now and later! It certainly sounds like your strength is returning more with each passing day; no doubt your stamina and energy levels will blossom as well. How good our Lord is to makeHis marvelous blessings so evident to us each day and never more so than through your devoted witness and precious testamony to His goodness and healing powers. Hopefully Carol's cough and cold are nearly gone by now. Best wishes always John, Jr. and Matt for Happy Happy Birthdays this week of celebration ! Much love, Aunt Betsy
DearKara, Hope this finds you deep in activities with Emma and Luke but also resting and taking care of yourself! Have a fun and relaxing week-end and know that our prayers and thoughts continue with you and Matt, Carol and John, Jean and John, Jr- that you stay well and with only positive and health-strengthing attitudes and energy channels directly from our Lord and His healing restorative powers. How grateful we are for his many blessings to us in so many ways and especially in our lives through you, dear Kara. Love to all, Aunt Betsy
