Kara is recovering
Emma and I visited Kara at the hospital twice today. Emma drew some pictures for Kara and left her prized souvenir horse from the circus with Kara to help her feel better. Kara was tired but in good spirits. She had been up and walking several times througout the day. She still has an epidural and is experiencing expected abdominal pain and some nausea. She said that her recovery from the sugery is much less taxing than the chemotherapy. And that was apparent upon visiting her. At this pace she hopes to be home by Sunday, though that may be a bit ambitious.

PRAISE THE LORD! YEAH GOD! GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!
Greetings from Chula Vista! You're in my daily prayers, Kara. Of course I pray for all of you. Thrilled to read of your successful surgery and hope! I've been entering you in our Chula Vista Presbyterian Church e-mail and phone tree prayer chains regularly...every time Di writes. I checked your blog this AM so I would know the latest.
Our pastor prays for you weekly also!
Praying you get to go home real soon, continue to heal, regain your strength, are blessed again and again.
Our love to Matt, Emma and Luke, your family and all the wonderful support team members!
GOD BLESS YOU
Linda and Randy Seaver
Dear Kara, HOw wonderful to hear that you're encouraged by your progress so different from the post-chemo status! No doubt John and Emma's visits helped immensely, esp. with the circus horse from your precious little one! We are so grateful for God's goodness and blessings and His powerful and magnificent handiwork seen in your total cure and recovery. Please continue to rest and rest and rest so you'll regain your strength more each day and be able to walk a little more each day with our Lord and your medical team leading the way. My prayers are with you and the family and your faithful friends- particularly with your Aunt Lois, your mom and dad, Jean, and John Jr. as they care for you and the children around the clock in ways that the rest of us can't even imagine. Much love to all, Aunt Betsy
